The Office of the Chancellor, the Chancellor's Committee on the Status of
Persons with Disabilities, the Great Lakes ADA Center, the Disability
Resource Center and the Digital Accessibility Expo Committee at the
University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) are excited to announce the

3rd Annual 2011 UIC Digital Accessibility Expo
on
Monday, April 11, 2011
8:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
at the
UIC Forum
725 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Illinois.

The Digital Accessibility Expo focuses on improving the access to digital
materials for all people, including those with disabilities. Information and
instructional materials that are developed with accessibility in mind are
universally designed to improve access for everyone. The Digital
Accessibility Expo will offer a platform on current resources available that
promote accessible information technology and assistive technology.

Registration and full program for the Expo is available online at
http://dae.uic.edu (directly register at http://www.regonline.com/DAE2011)
with special reduced fees for students ($15) and UIC faculty/staff ($25). The fee covers all food,
speaker presentations, exhibitor tables and the opportunity to win prizes
including an IPAD 2! Several forms of payment are accepted including PO,
credit card, C-FOAP, and check.

This year's scheduled keynote speakers include Daniel Hubbell, Accessibility
Technical Evangelist for Microsoft's Trustworthy Computing division, and
Daniel Goldstein. Daniel Goldstein is an attorney with the Baltimore,
Maryland law firm of Brown, Goldstein & Levy. He has been practicing
disability rights law for nearly twenty-five years, principally on behalf of
the National Federation of the Blind (NFB). Eleven years ago, the NFB asked
him to assist in devising and executing a strategy of education, negotiation
and litigation to make mainstream technology accessible to the blind.

The exhibit hall will offer demonstrations on assistive technology and
accessible information technology along with providing training
opportunities on developing and implementing accessible online information
in an organization.

Visit the exhibitors and you will have a chance to win:
