Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions on how to fix my problem with collapsed messages in OutLook Express. I finally discovered an option called Current View Submenus under View on the task bar. The Conversations option is within Current Views Submenus. Apparently it's somewhat different on different systems. Debbie
