Hi everyone,
Should we only call the senators or should we call our house reps also?

Hello all,
Well, I just called Sen. Kirk's office and spoke to Charlie. Mr. Adair was not in his office, but Charlie put me through to his voicemail, and I left a message explaining that we were opposed to section 511 the subminimum wage provision. I explained that this provision is completely inconsistent with the belief that blind people can engage in competitive employment. I also explained that one of our members had spoken with the senator this morning, and Sen. Kirk said the bill had not been marked up. I left my telephone number and urged him to call me back to discuss the matter further.

I just called Kirk's office for the first time today and Andrew Adair is in a meeting. I gave my comments, for the fourth time, and said I will call back after lunch to try and talk with him!
