NFBI-Chicago Chapter Convention Scholarship Awards 

	The National Federation of the Blind of Illinois-Chicago Chapter has
established three attendance scholarships for the 2011 NFBI State
Convention. One award will be designated as the Carmen Dennis Memorial
Convention Scholarship and the other two awards will be called Chicago
Chapter Convention Scholarships.  Each award will be worth $150. Any
currently paid member of the NFBI-Chicago Chapter may submit an application.
The application must be submitted to President, David Meyer
datemeyer at sbcglobal.net, by August 21, 2011 via e-mail, in Braille, or in
print.


	These convention scholarships are intended to assist members
involved with the NFBI-Chicago Chapter to attend our state convention and
strengthen their involvement.  Recipients of the Chicago Chapter Convention
Scholarship Award must demonstrate genuine interest in, and commitment to
the blind of the Chicago area or the potential to develop such interest and
commitment.  Recipients are expected to stay two nights at the convention
hotel  and attend at a minimum all general sessions of the convention, the
resolution committee meeting, and the banquet. 

	All recipients of NFBI-Chicago Chapter Convention Scholarships are
expected to contribute some of their own funding to attend convention.
