Yes, the entire complex is accessible at Clark and Lake, mid-block between
Clark Street to the east and LaSalle Street to the west.

Clark/Lake, 100 West, 200 North, has entrances on both sides of Lake
Street -- the James R. Thompson Center, on the south side of Lake Street,
and the 203 North LaSalle Building, on the north side of Lake Street. You
enter the buildings and enter the paid area at street level on both sides of
Lake Street.

For the Brown Line, you enter the 203 North LaSalle Building, facing north,
use the accessible turnstile, facing west, and continue west past the
escalators on your rightg, until you reach the elevator on your right or
north. This elevator has three levels -- Concourse, one level underground
for the Blue Line Subway, Street level and Platform, for the elevated.
Press the button for Platform, go up, then go out the doors to the side
platform of this elevated station. You may want to ask the customer
assistant for the gap filler, which bridges the gap between platform and
car, although this station has among the better horizontal and vertical
platform clearences.

Two routes stop at this platform -- Green and Brown. Therefore, make sure
that the train is Brown Line before you board. Watch the destination signs
and listen for the announcements. Each car has a wheelchair position, and
the door closest to this position has the usual accessibility sign.

All elevated stations, going north and west from the Loop on the Brown Line,
have elevators. The line comes down to ground level west of Western Avenue,
and the ground level stations all have ramps.

Call CTA at 1-888-YOURCTA (968-7282) or (312) 664-7200, and check the
Elevator Status Line before starting this trip. If the elevator is not
working, either at the beginning or end of your train ride, you probably can
work out an alternate route, either with CTA Customer Service or RTA Travel
Information, 836-7000, in any Chicagoland area code. If you have further
questions, please call me at (773) 508-5307. Have a good trip!

Cordially,

Steve Hastalis

PS. As you may know, I retired from CTA about a year and a half ago. This
reminds me of my work in ADA Compliance and as an Information Specialist,
giving passengers directions on the bus and rail systems.
