I have an idea. You can take the Van Galder bus from Rockford to Chicago Union station and pick up the nfb bus. And on the return take the nfb bus to chicago then take Van Galder back to Rockford.

I will be coming from rockford but I would need ride to go back to
rockford. will the chicago bus will take me from where the rockford
