Hi All,

I just did an interview for a contract position with a very small company in Des Plaines.  They sounded very positive.  I wanted to make sure I was advising them of all the benefits they could avail themselves of when employing a blind individual in Illinois.  I also wanted to see if anyone could advise me on what to watch out for with contract jobs and SSDI?  I would like to keep my Medicare for a few years and wondered if I can do anything to extend the eight-and-a-half year limit on Medicare while working?  Some good rules of thumb would help.  Further, some tips on getting assistance for an employer with equipment and software from the State of Illinois seems appropriate.
