Along with Tammy Duckworth, the newcomers: . Brad Schneider, a Deerfield Democrat and management consultant, unseated first-termer Robert Dold for the North Shore seat once held by Sen. Mark Kirk. Bill Foster, a Democrat who is a Harvardeducated physicist, served in Congress previously but lost a 2010 re-election bid. He'll go back to the Capitol after defeating longtime Rep. Judy Biggert. Cheri Bustos, a Democratic former alderman in East Moline, is an ex-journalist who has also worked in public relations. She unseated first-termer Bobby Schilling in a western Illinois race. Rodney Davis, a Republican from Taylorville in central Illinois, is a former aide to Rep. John Shimkus. He was chosen by party officials after Rep. Tim Johnson won the primary and retired. Bill Enyart, a Belleville Democrat, is an attorney and former Illinois National Guard commander. He'll assume the St. Louisarea seat long held by Rep. Jerry Costello. Enyart entered the race after the previous nominee left for health reasons. This article is provided to you as a courtesy of NFB-NEWSLINE® Online for your sole use.
