Subject: Pace 2012 Budget Public Hearings

Notice is hereby given that Pace, the Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, is holding public hearings on its proposed program and budget for the year 2013 (January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013), the operating business plan for 2013 2015, the capital business plan for 2013-2017, and the restructuring of Route 353 95th - River Oaks/Homewood.
Pace presents a balanced and stable budget for 2013 as no general fare increases or service reductions are proposed for Suburban Service or Regional ADA Paratransit. However, Pace vanpool passengers originating in Indiana will be assessed a surcharge of $27 per month eective January, 2013. The surcharge will be levied to oset the cost of tolls on the Indiana Toll Road and Chicago Skyway. As a result of proposed CTA service changes on Route 111 Pullman/111th/115th, Pace is proposing to restructure the Chicago portion of Route 353 95th - River Oaks/ Homewood to reduce service duplication and improve travel time to the Red Line.
Any person wishing to comment on the proposed budget or the restructuring of Route 353 may present views orally at the public hearings or by submitting written material on or before the last date of the hearings, which is Wednesday, October 31, 2012, or by accessing our website at http://www.pacebus.com/ in the “Public Hearing Comment Form” area. Copies of the proposed program and budget are available for public inspection at: Pace, 550 West Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60005-4412.
