                       2013 World Sport Chicago Scholarship
                             





                               



                              World Sport Chicago is pleased to announce that for a fourth consecutive year, we are offering the World Sport Chicago Scholarship to Chicago high school juniors who are committed to their athletics and their academics. Over the past few years, WSC has worked with over 160 Chicago students to make their college dreams a reality and awarded financial aid to 36 students to help them attend colleges such as Wake Forest, DePaul, Yale, University of Illinois and many more. Later this year, an additional 10 students will receive scholarships for tuition, room and board at the 4-year accredited college or university of their choice.



                              Applications are now available online for qualified applicants.



                              Eligibility: 



                                a.. High school juniors
                                b.. Students who live in and attend school in Chicago 
                                c.. Students with a 2.0 unweighted GPA or higher
                                d.. Participants in an eligible Olympic or Paralympic sport for a minimum of two seasons in the last three years 
                                e.. Willing to fulfill the WSC Scholar Duties  
                              Awards: 

                                a.. 50 students will be named WSC Scholars and will receive a year-long Chicago Scholars mentoring program to assist with the college application process 
                                b.. Up to 10 students will be selected to receive renewable college scholarships worth up to $5,000 annually ($20,000 total), supported by WSC and Chicago donors
