Hi out there Federationists,

As many of you know, I attend Northeastern Illinois University. We also
know about the flat panel that is so pervasive in our daily lives.

I met with the person who is in charged of the flat panels at NEIU. He
and I met this afternoon to think of solutions to make the information
on the flat panels accessible to students. He agrees with me that there
is a solution for this situation. A while ago, I gave him the
Federation's web site, and he looked at it and saw all of the technology
that is out there. NEIU also has a new and younger director of the
Students with Disabilities Services, who is, I think more positive, and
he also is one of us. He is not a blind guy, he is a deaf guy, so we
can have some perspective. Has anybody else out there experienced this
situation? What did you do to solve, or at least, deal with the
situation of the flat panel? I am not bitter or frustrated or angry or
anything like that. I believe in working with people today. I am not
even remotely hostile about all of this. Give me some solutions. I
have even thought about contacting the national center.

Sincerely,

RH
