It is best to use a Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) with iOS
5.x or above. I hate paying Apple's price, but it is a very nice keyboard. I
have used a variety of keyboards with mixed results. I have one for my Apple
TV and one sits under my iPad. My iPad is on a flexible arm attached to the
back of my iMAC. Both are quite pleasant to type on; however, you have to
learn the VO key combinations. Not a big challenge. If anyone needs me to
post the PDF I can do so.
