    That does help. Thanks. My mom gets too emotionally involved when trying 
to help with Apple products sing Voice Over.

Hi Nikki,

If the phone is clicking at you, that means that Voice Over is running.
If it's not talking, that means that the voice within Voice Over is
turned off. If the screen is not displaying anything, that means the
Voice Over screen curtain is on. If that is the phone's condition, the
easiest way to fix it is to quickly press the home key (the round key at
the bottom) three times. That should turn off Voice Over and give you
your screen display back. If there are things your son is helping you
set up, he will want to do it with Voice Over off because interacting
with the screen will be different than if it were running.
Triple-tapping the home key again should restart Voice Over, again
activating the screen curtain but leaving you with the voice on. Tapping
twice with three fingers will toggle the speech on and off when Voice
Over is running. I hope all this gives you a starting point. Restarting
the phone may not help because it will come up in the same condition it
is now.
