[il-talk] The Kindel Problem

Hi IL-Talk,

I was recently speaking with a physicist who now teaches computer science about possible projects I could work on.  In the process, he suggested a tool for rendering HTML as an MP3.  I told him, it would make more sense to write an application that ran on Kindels to do the same thing.  


Since I don't know much about how the files the Kindel uses are secured, I wondered if anyone had suggested a server-side solution to the Kindel problem --- e.g. force all books that work on the Kindel to have links or additional files with pre-generated speech?  This isn't really a completely accessible solution, but it did seem like a good idea for a start-up...
