In fact, Steve H. has made other arrangements. Please do not let this keep you home. Call Steve at 773 508 5307 to see what he did. Remember we committed to lunches and sleeping rooms. I did send out the date and information quite some time ago.

By the way, this should prompt all to make arrangements for convention sooner, please.

Hello Everyone,

I called Amtrak to make a reservation for the board meeting today. What I
found out was that one will be able to get to Bloomington on Friday, but
will not be able to come back on the train after the board meeting on
Saturday. Whether or not one can make a trip on Sunday, August 18, I do not
know. There are apparently some bus options, though Grayhound is not one of
them. Beyond that, the Friday trains must be pretty crouded. If you take
the mid morning or early afternoon traihn to Bloomington from Chicago, you
will likely pay $37 for a one-way coach fair, rather than the $14 you would
pay if the train has plenty of room.

Finally, if you wish to book transportation either way on Amtrak, call
800-872-7245 (800-U S ARAIL.
