Hi all,
 
I meant to do this last week, but my IL-Talk subscription went to my junk folder.  Anyway, I would like to extend a big thank you to members of the NFB of Chicago chapter who attended the picnic last weekend at the Lincoln Park Zoo.  Your hospitality has made the move from Iowa much easier.  
 
Chapter President Dave Meyer took myself and fellow co-worker Paul Shepardson out for breakfast following church last Sunday, and State President Patti Chang and her family were more than eager to make us feel at home.  Thanks so much, and I plan to see more of you at convention in late October.  Again, thanks so much!
 
I will be absent the next few months as I am to fly to Maryland for training on how to negotiate contracts for the Department of Veteran Affairs, and will be back in mid October.  I look forward to reading your emails in order to gain valuable information, much needed advice, and create a network to improve.
