Three and a half days? That's a long time, especially in California!
One time, my friend in Plainfield, Il didn't have power for 2 days, and had
no generator at the time. Used a neighbors, but still had to throw away a
lot of food! Mother Nature is very powerful! Sinderely, Linda

You think seven hours is bad, try three and a half days. Back in January of
2003, we had a major Santa Ana wind in the socal area. A pole was blown down
in the city of Orange, and we had no power for three and a half days. It's
amazing how reliable we have become on modern technology, and how we can't
survive without it. My then wife, Pat, went out and bought a boombox with
am/fm radio, cassette tape, cd player and tv band stations 2-13.

Thank goodness we had two phones that were connected to regular jacks, so we
were able to have phone service.

Yes it's a twenty minute drive further south from me. Thanks. Gina
