Hay Robert,
I too have that problem with the broken tops. What I did with my latest
cane with a broken top is that I depressed the rubber piece under the
plastic ball into the cane like a cork screw and its working for me. As far
as them getting better made ass far as I know they stopped making them.

I wish the fifty fifty was made better.  I am tired of the tops breaking.  I
have three of them and all of them have broken tops.  I saw one for 40
bucks.  I heard this one is constructed.  I want that.  I also notice the
bands in the canes get frazzled and like everything, things need to be
replaced.

love the fifty fifty cane the new folding cane but my favorite still has to
be the long white cane.

I would suggest to people that they should own more than one style of cane
like you have different styles of shoes.  You wouldn’t ware snow boots to
the gym and likewise you can choose the appropriate cane for the appropriate
situation.  I use my folding cane if I am going to be in tight spots or if
going on a long casual walk I love that straight cane.  Matter of fact I am
going to call to find out if they still have the fifty fifty in stock
because it had a sweet price of 10 dollars.

Hi Robert,

Are you looking for a folding, or a telescopic cane? The telescopic are the
ones that are really compacked. Either cane can be purchased through our
Independence Market. Order through our web site or call (410)
659-9314 and pressing 4 for the Independence Market. I believe that to shop
online, you can go to www.nfb.org/independencemarket and navigating to the
category and cane you need.

Cordially,
Bill

canes.  I think they are simply cheap and I dòcare for them.  I remember
seeing this one folding cane for around 40 dollars.  I thought it was pretty
slicck and appeared to have been made real well.  Does this cane have a
model name or number I should look for on line?  One otther thing, this one
folded up nicely andis real compact.  I want something like that.  Contact
