Hi Dave,

I'm planning to contribute another one of those 10 lb. pound bars of pure
Blommers milk chocolate -- remember from a couple years back? I seemto
recall that Dan Dwyer paid a pretty penny for it back then, too. Let me
know if you need a more illustrative description.

Thanks,
Andrew

Subject: [il-talk] chicago chapter auction

Hello Everyone,

Again this year, the Chicago Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind
of Illinois will hold a Christmas auction. It will immediately follow the
chapter meeting which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 13,
beginning at 12:00 noon.

This auction has been a substantial fundraising tool for the Chicago Chapter
since sometime in the 1970's. We can continue to raise substantial funds
for the Chicago Chapter by doing two things. Bringing items to purchase at
the auction and purchasing the items contributed. So, what sort of items
may one bring for purchase? Provided that the item-s are in good working
order, one is limited only by his/her imagination when it comes to
contributing items. In the past, auction items have included baked goods,
cookbooks, original art, sports memorabilia, fine jewelry and gobblets,
music and novelty candy items. Gift certificates are always welcome as
well.

If you plan to contribute an item, please let me know by email so that I
might post it to the list. So, clean your clausets, cook your hearts out
and contribute, so that we may have our best Christmas auction ever.

David Meyer, NFB of Illinois

Coordinator and Channel Administrator, NFB-NewsLine

Chicago Chapter President
