Hello  all,

As you know, the first  Illinois Braille Readers are Leaders Contest for
kids is coming to a close on  Saturday, February 15.  I am happy to report 
as
of today we have 26  contestants registered!  And the registration forms are
still  arriving!  The contestants vary in age from first to twelth grade.
This is great!  Many thanks to all on the Braille Literacy Committee and
the PR Committee for their work in making this a great  success.      Also
Natalie Shaheen at the National  Center deserves many thanks for her help in
this project.
