The month of March will be a busy time for the National Federation of the
Blind of Illinois Chicago Chapter.

The first activity of significance will be our monthly meeting which is
scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. This meeting will be
held at Exchequer Pub and Restaurant, 226 South Wabash Avenue, Chicago. The
program for this month will be an article entitled Santas Little Helper from
the Braille Monitor, December, 2013. We will also hear about exciting
events happening statewide and nationally.

On Sunday, March 9 at 6:00 P.M. we will have a Chicago Chapter Board of
Directors meeting via a conference call. Please call 8 0 5-3 6 0-1 0 0 0.
When asked to enter a code, please enter the code "Chicago" (2 4 4 2 2 4 6).

Finally, we will have a Night for the Ages, a fundraiser scheduled for
Dick's Last Resort, 315 North Dearborne, Chicago from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.
The cost for this event will be $40. Besides assisting the Chicago Chapter
to raise much needed funds, you will be entitled to unlimited beer, wine or
soda, as well as a fine selection of hors deuvres, meant to please those who
are health conscious, as well as those who are turned on by other types of
food. If you wish to participate in this fundraiser, you must have your
payment of $40 in by March 8, the day of the chapter meeting. You may pay
by check or cash. If you wish to pay by check, please make your check
payable to the National federation of the Blind of Illinois. Finally, if
you wish to pay prior to the chapter meeting, please send your payment to
David Meyer, 814 Hannah Avenue, Forest Park, IL 60130. This fundraiser
presents you with a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors
to have some fun and to assist the Chicago Chapter at the ssame time.

As you can see, March is a busy month for the Chicago Chapter. So come one
and all, and join in the fun.
