[il-talk] new user update

If you get one of the newer Bluetooth low-energy (BTLE) keyboards the battery will last an entire year or more. They're also very secure. They eliminate the need of having an on / off switch or remembering to turn it off.

That said Bluetooth 4.0 and BTLE only exist in a very few models.

Most of the models on the market today are Bluetooth 2.0 or 3.0. If you can I would stay away from Bluetooth 2.0, as it is very insecure. Bluetooth 3.0 isn't that much better from a security and privacy standpoint.

If you don't want someone to be able to snoop your Bluetooth signal then you definitely need to stay with the Bluetooth 4.0 or Bluetooth BTLE keyboard.

I'll look around and see what I can find and post some links tomorrow after my Grand Babies go home.

>>> I don't know if you figured out yet how to change your iPhone settings back, but if you haven't, hopefully we can help. What got changed on your phone was your rotor setting. The gesture to move the rotor is to have your thumb and your index fingertips on the screen of your phone as if you were manipulating a wheel. I'm not sure how limited your fingers are with manipulating things like this so you might need some assistance to move the rotor to the speech rate option. Once you are on the speech rate option you can swipe down with one finger and slow your speech down. Swipe down to slow it down or up to increase the speed. Hopefully this was helpful. Congrats on sticking with your phone. I really like mine and am writing this reply on it using a bluetooth keyboard. I think this might be a good option for you as well. You can perform most or all of the gestures from the keyboard, even the rotor.

In the process she was pressing buttons not know ing what she was doing and changed the speed or rate of Voice Over. Now it talks faster than I like. IDK and neither does she, how to change it back. Can someone help? If this makes a difference, it’s an I Phone 4. Thanks.
