Thanks for your gesture, Denise. Miss my federation family in Illinois very much...I am profoundly greatful to the people in NFBI-- it was impossible for me to rebuild my life as a blind person without the help and support from the leaders, and members alike, in the Illinois affiliate.

I would love to remain actively involved in NFBI, but it lacks justification...Illinois is fortunate to have a membership filled with incredibly efficient people, and moreover, we are a nationwide organization, and it is appropriate that we get involved at the local level instead of chairing/serving on the committees of the affiliate which you don't reside in for several years.

Anyway, you guys take care, goodluck with that brutal weather.
