VOTER REGISTRATION Unregistered voters: Traditionally, voters had been
required to be registered at least 28 days before an election to cast their
ballots. So-called grace period registration nowlets voters register, or
update the old address on their registration, up to and on Election Day
itself and be allowed to vote. How those votes will be counted: The
so-called grace period ballots will be considered provisional, meaning they
won't be counted until election officials verify their legitimacy. Location:
This type of voting is only offered at specific polling places. Check your
county election site to find locations. Illinois State Board of Elections
