> Esteemed cellist, Marc Johnson, left an enduring legacy through his work with the Vermeer Quartet, as well as being a cherished teacher and mentor to the cello community. His sudden passing this past April sent a deep and painful ripple through the music world, having lost one of its most passionate and admired role models. The Chicago Cello Society is honored to present a concert in tribute to Marc, comprised of musicians who loved, studied and performed with him.  After the Memorial, we will continue the celebration of Marc’s life just a few blocks away from St. James Cathedral at Quartino.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
