Hi Robert,

Don't forget that the inspiration for Braille was a system used by the 
French military to communicate at night. (I guess they needed to 
coordinate their retreat routes.)  This article comes from The Onion, a 
publication known for its satire.  It is poking fun at the fact that 
many people believe we have some super perceptual powers and/or are 
faking blindness, particularly those with partial vision.  No less than 
Marten Luther instructed his followers that the success of the blind and 
others with disabilities is due to the fact we are in league with the 
devil, and the church should not let us remain in their presence.  This 
theme carries forth to Darth Vader, and is capitalized on by the media 
when it refers to the blind seek who masterminded the first World Trade 
Center bombing. This theme merits the ridicule represented in The Onion 
article.
