The next meeting of the Chicago Transit Authority's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) will take place this coming
Tuesday, October 14, at the CTA's Headquarters, 567 West Lake Street, in Chicago, at the southeast corner of Lake and Jefferson Streets.

Customer Service In-take takes place from 1:00 to 1:30 P.M. Attendees may filing reports and signing up to make public comments at the end of this meeting.

The actual meeting begins at 1:30 P.M.

Items directly related to bus and rail service will be of particular interest to customers who are blind or visually impaired.

We will have presentations about Customer Service reports, elevator and escalator reliability, bus operations, new construction projects of major rail stations and bus terminals.

Under bus operations, we may discuss notifying the community about changes in bus stop locations and obtaining information about bus stop locations while traveling.

We also may have discussion about the ongoing New Freedom Grant, by which orientation and mobility specialists at the Chicago Lighthouse are preparing discriptions of rail stations.
