[il-talk] Time To get congressional support for the TIME Act

Hello all,
Congress is home for vacation until September 7. It is time to call, e-mail, and visit your representative about the Transitioning To Integrated And Meaningful Employment Act. TIME This is HR 188 in the house and S2001 in the senate. Our national office wants us to focus on this piece of legislation during our visits. These are follow up contacts to our Washington seminar advocacy this past January.  Both Debbie Stein and I plan to visit Senators Kirk and Durbin at their Chicago offices. I am asking those of you in the Springfield area to do the same in addition to your congressional representatives.
I am attaching the fact sheet  and a letter with our logo requesting support. Please take these materials with you on any visit, and e-mail them as well. And please study the fact sheet carefully.

 Representatives Gutierrez and Schakowsky have now co-sponsored HR. 188.
