[il-talk] Chicago Chapter Holiday Auction

Each year the Chicago Chapter of the NFBI holds a holiday auction at its
December meeting. This year the meeting and auction will take place on
Saturday, December 12, at the Exchequer Pub and Restaurant, 226 S. Wabash in
Chicago. To make sure we have time for the auction, our meeting will begin
at 12 noon instead of 1 PM. 

 

How does the auction work? Members are invited to bring gift items of every
variety, from restaurant gift certificates to household items, from baked
goods to toys to collectibles. Members have the opportunity to bid on each
item, and all proceeds go to the Chicago Chapter. This year's auctioneers
will be Dave Meyer and Ed Birmingham.

If you have items to donate, please stir up interest by dropping a few hints
on IL-Talk. 

 

I am looking for one or two volunteers who can run items to their
purchasers. As in recent years, payment must be received before any item can
be claimed. See you on the twelfth. Going, going, gone!
