[il-talk] Mentors and mentees needed

 Hello everyone, for those of you who do not know me my name is Amy and this year I am the chair of the mentoring committee.  Every year we have a mentor   program in which several mentors mentor younger students in the NFB.  Previously this program has been run by Adrian Falconer  She did an amazing job getting it off to a great start and I am so excited to take on the challenge of keeping it as successful as it  has    been over the last few years with the help of the rest of the committee.  We are looking for mentors and mentees to be involved in the program. The requirements to be a mentor are to be a college student or older, and also to be confident and willing to take on the challenge of mentoring  another younger student. Anyone who is interested or would like to help feel free to contact me. You would be required to call your mentee at least twice a week and check in with them and see how they are doing also, the mentors job would be to give younger students   any advice that they may need to help them be successful and help them to feel confident with living the life they want. Also anyone who is between fifth and 12th grade is welcome to be a mentee  in the program. If anyone is interested in being a mentee or mentor. Feel free to contact me .  We have several awesome things planned for our committee and   Are  even looking at a possible plan for the spring seminar. I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you. Thanks
