Helen Anderson Sales, 86, of Milan, died peacefully Monday February 15, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Helen was born on August 8, 1929 to Forrest and Edna (Brasmer) Johnson in Sherrard, IL. She received her education in the Orion School district.
She married Mardell F. Anderson on October 26, 1948 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1985. She later married Ira Lee Sales on June 29, 1997 in Bettendorf, IA.
Mrs. Sales had been employed at the former Oak Glen Nursing Home, Coal Valley and Addis Health Care.
She was a former member of Praise Fellowship Church, Bettendorf.
Survivors include her husband, Ira Lee; children, Kathleen (John) Abbott, Orion, Linda(Dr. Gerald) Elsner, Rogers, Arkansas, Kenneth(Rose) Anderson, Milan, Keith Anderson, Moline, Lois(Russell) Montgomery, Moline, Russell(Brenda) Anderson, Alpha, Jeffrey(Christine) Anderson Sr., Ionia, MO; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Wooley, Milan and brother, George "Bud" Johnson, Holliday, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Anderson; sister, Inez Woitte; a infant brother and 3 grandchildren.
