The Goodman Theater offers audio description and a touch tour at selected
performances. Last November several of us involved with Freedom Link
attended the audio described performance of A Christmas Carol, which we
enjoyed immensely. Here is information about a couple of the Goodman's
upcoming shows.

About the show:

Two-time Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole star in a
World Premiere musical about two business titans-and their infamous rivalry.

Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden defined beauty standards for the first
half of the 20th Century. Brilliant innovators with humble roots, both were
masters of self-invention who sacrificed everything to become the country's
first major female entrepreneurs. They were also fierce competitors, whose
50-year tug-of-war would give birth to an industry. From Fifth Avenue
society to the halls of Congress, their remarkable rivalry was ruthless,
relentless and legendary-pushing both women to build international empires
in a world dominated by men.

About the show:

A wave of uncertainty spreads across the once peaceful hamlet of Reynolds,
Wisconsin, after a Chicago-based corporation acquires the town's main
employer, leaving workers and their families to fear for their livelihoods.
The merger, however, presents longtime employee Kim a newfound
opportunity-and a moral dilemma. Should he accept a lucrative promotion
under the new management and risk alienating himself from his longtime
co-workers, neighbors and family? Fresh off her Jeff Award-winning Luna
Gale, Rebecca Gilman presents a humorous yet thought-provoking examination
of workers' rights and the effects of big business on small town lives.
