[il-talk] Proposed Cook County Beverage tax

I know I have asked a lot from all of you in recent weeks, and we appreciate
all of your support!  Unfortunately, we have another issue that we need to
defeat ASAP.  This issue effects all of us and right where it hurts the most
, our pocket books!

Cook County is trying to correct their poor spending habits by attempting to
add a penny an ounce tax to all sugary beverages.  Please let your voice be
heard and oppose this proposed tax by going to

You do not have to live in Cook County to oppose this proposal.  Rest
assured, that if this goes through in Cook County, every other County in
Illinois will follow suit.
