[il-talk] return to Chicago and Oktoberfest

Hello NFB of Illinois Family,

I recently moved back to the Chicago area and am finally ready to
begin active participation in our organization again.  After listening
to the live stream of the National Convention I realized it was time
to reach out to those who loved and supported me when I lived here
before. The transition back to Chicago has been more difficult than I
anticipated, and I suppose one could say I have been hiding out

I have spoken with Debbie Stein and told her she could hold me
accountable for showing up for meetings and activities. So, to honor
my commitment to her I plan to be at the Saturday, August, 12 meeting.
I am looking forward to reconnecting with the Chicago Chapter, rolling
up my sleeves and getting back to NFB work.

Thank you for your love and encouragement in the past and may we
become even stronger friends and colleagues in the future. It was as
part of the NFB Illinois Affiliate and Chicago Chapter that I gained
confidence and spread my wings as a blind person. May I learn to fly
again as I rejoin all of you in our mission.

Patti, please sign me up for the Oktoberfest!
