Project Description

The Peggy Notebaert (http://www.naturemuseum.org/) works to promote conservation science and education through exhibits, community involvement, and scientific collaboration.   In recent years, the museum has acquired a number of citizen science projects.  One such project is the Calling Frog Survey (http://www.frogsurvey.org/).   The Calling Frog Survey trains local volunteers to monitor locations in Chicago and the surrounding area for the presence of a variety of known frog species.    The administrative portion of the Calling Frog Survey website needs to be updated to improve the ease of data entry and analysis.   Further information on request.

Required Skills

- HTML/CSS
- PHP/MySQL
- Basic Linux knowledge helpful
- Ability to work 5-10 hours a week and coordinate once or twice a week with a supervisor. 

Additional Requirements and Information

- The Peggy Notebaert Museums requires a criminal background check for all individuals.
- Internship eligibility requires you have a legally recognized disability and are an AccessComputing member (https://www.washington.edu/accesscomputing/) 
- Pay rate will be $15/h for undergrads and $16/h for grad students
