Hello all,

Now that HB 2626 has passed both the Illinois House and Senate, please write
your senators and representatives and thank them for supporting the rights
of blind parents. Our State legislation committee chairs will certainly send
written thank you notes. But it would be wonderful if these men and women
could hear a resounding thank you from members in their districts.

Also, I want to publicly thank State legislation co-chairs, David Meyer and
Bill Reif, as well as Patti Chang, who helped keep us informed of the
progress of the bill, provided us with strategy to help get the bill passed,
and found us co-sponsors. I want to thank all those who went to Springfield
and testified, and all those who provided written testimony. Thanks goes to
Julietta Meyer for assistance in finding a senate sponsor. And thanks to all
of you who called and wrote to your senators and representatives.

It is wonderful to know that our voices were heard in Illinois.
