I'm pasting a notice about Choir! Choir! Choir! An event at Chicago Lyric
Opera that gives ordinary people the chance to sing under a professional
director. Lyric is sending me the lyrics for the song that will be performed
this Friday evening, and I'm happy to share them with anyone who is
interested. This sounds like a fun event, and I'm delighted that Lyric is

Are you ready to sing, Chicago? Choir! Choir! Choir! blurs the lines between
being an audience member and a performer by bringing strangers together to
sing popular songs. We're thrilled to announce that Queen's "Crazy Little
Thing Called Love" has been selected to the evening's experience!

All attendees receive a sheet of music lyrics, and are then divided based on
voice types and ranges, and taught vocal harmonies. Magically, a beautifully
unified choir will be formed within only 90 minutes. 

There's no need to have any vocal experience - just come ready to sing and
have a good time!

Founded in 2011 by Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman (AKA "DaBu"), Choir!
Choir! Choir! began as a weekly drop in, no-commitment singing event. It
didn't take long for the Canadian choir directors' a cappella arrangements
to attract great attention from thousands of people worldwide. Notably,
Choir! Choir! Choir! has undertaken fan favorites such as Prince's "When
Doves Cry," Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," Justin Bieber's "Sorry," and Bon
Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer," to name a few.

Choir! Choir! Choir! has amassed a dedicated and passionate community of
singers and a thriving international fan base on YouTube. The group has
performed with renowned artists such as Patti Smith, Tegan and Sara, and
Rufus Wainwright, and onstage at New York's Carnegie Hall and Radio City
Music Hall with the likes of Debbie Harry and The Flaming Lips. Choir!
Choir! Choir! exists to celebrate music and push the boundaries between
practice and performance, artist and audience, offering therapeutic benefits
