[il-talk] Ctrl + V in G-Mail

Hi all;
I frequently copy a block of text and use "ctrl v" to paste it into g-mail.
Starting, maybe, a month ago, the keyboard command stopped working (but I
just figured out that it still works with the mouse--rightclick "paste").
I'm wondering if this is just me or others have noticed this too. It
concerns me that Google may have disabled the command (which I believe
relies on programming code, whereas the mouse uses something more
graphical, in terms of how the computer processes the action) as a way to
hinder AI, automated or otherwise pre-programmed email misuses (like
botnets).
My concern is that so often, it seems, the same utility that makes (or
could make) information technology non-visually accessible is blocked or
disfavored by developers (because they block the same tools in order to
avoid access from hackers or whomever they don't want using computer
systems easily). With more sophisticated AI, I wonder if this is a sign of
a new wave of blocking accessibility?
Anyway, for now, I just wonder if anyone else has had this same issue with
"ctrl v" no longer working in gmail?
