Animals in Airports Ordinance, CALL TO ACTION!

 

At Saturday's Chicago Chapter meeting we discussed the "Animals in Airports
Ordinance," introduced by Alderman Ed Burke, of the 14th Ward. This
ordinance could affect all blind persons traveling with guide dogs who need
to pass through Chicago's airports.

 

We are seeking to set up a meeting with Alderman Ed Burke and/or Michael
Zalewski to discuss this legislation.

 

We are asking all members to contact the offices of these Aldermen and
request a face-to-face meeting to discuss the "Animals in Airports
Ordinance". Please make these calls by Thursday March 15.

 

When making these calls please remember to be polite, persistant and say
thank you at the end of your call. State your from the National Federation
of the Blind.  If the person you speak with asks for a contact person
