Hi Everyone,

Having just finished my last law school exams and final papers, I am just now catching up on the legislative updates. It is wonderful to hear that we are making such great progress on S2559. I just called Senator Durbin’s office to ask him to sign onto the bill, and received the standard response that my message would be passed along. They also asked me for my zip code, and I gave them my Urbana zip code because that is where I am currently registered to vote. I suspect that Senator Durbin’s office has received less calls regarding S2559 from central Illinois constituents than from Chicago area residents, so hopefully, my call will help convey the message that the effort is state-wide (the issue is obviously international, but Senators serve their constituents).

I called Senator Durbin's office (202)-224-2152, and asked that he support
S2559. I was told by Chase that my message would be passed along to Senator
Durbin.
I then called Senator Duckworth, (202)-224-2854, and requested her support
for S2559. I spoke with Shanise, who said the message would be passed along.
Please call our senators and ask them to support the Marrakesh
Implementation Act.

Marrakesh. I explained how this legislation would benefit blind people. I
