I received the below information from Michael Collleng, Assistant Director
of Strategic Initiatives at the Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind
or Visually Impaired.  If interested in participating in the focus group

Seeking Participants for a Focus Group Exploring Housing for the Blind,
Visually Impaired and Disabled Communities

Individuals who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise disabled are
needed to participate in a focus group conducted by The Chicago Lighthouse
(1850 West Roosevelt Drive, Chicago, IL 60608). The purpose of the study is
to better understand their perspectives and experiences pertaining to
housing and a possible future housing initiative through The Lighthouse.
Individuals will be asked to participate in a two-hour focus group, from
6:30-8:30 PM on Tuesday, April 23. The group's discussion will focus on
housing options in Chicago, their current living situations, perceived
housing options within the blind, visually impaired, and disabled community,
and the potential need for specialized housing as it pertains to these
communities.
To participate individuals must be:
1.	At least 18 years old
2.	Speak English as their primary language
3.	Have low vision, legal blindness, total blindness or are otherwise
disabled
4.	Be on or off SSDI (have been on previously, or not)
5.	Be employed, looking for work, or a student 
6.	Be willing to discuss living situation 
7.	Able to sit comfortably though a two-hour focus group
8.	Able to travel to the Chicago Lighthouse 
9.	Additional questions may be asked upon response to invite
Focus groups will be audio recorded.  Individuals will be provided dinner
for participation.
