Subject: Announcement about BLIND, Inc. Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Blindness: Learning in New Dimensions
(BLIND), Inc. is pleased to announce that Jennifer Kennedy has
accepted the position of Executive Director for BLIND, Inc. Jennifer
is a long- time Federationist who comes with a strong background of
leadership in blindness rehabilitation. She currently works as a lead
cane travel instructor at the adjustment-to-blindness training center
in Utah. Additionally, she serves on the National Orientation and
Mobility Certification Trainers (NOMCT) committee, an appointed
committee of structure discovery cane travel certification holders
whose purpose is to supervise cane travel apprenticeships, grade
certification exams, and evaluate agencies desiring structure
discovery certification. She has also worked as an instructor in
Virginia and at the Louisiana Center for the Blind, and has
represented the Federation in various capacities on statewide councils
and committees that make decisions about rehabilitation. Her
experience gives her a diverse perspective on the issues facing
rehabilitation and employment of the blind of today. She is a talented
teacher and a dynamic leader who believes deeply in the work of the
Federation and in our training centers as an expression of the
Federation.
Jennifer will bring great enthusiasm and commitment to this work, and,
of course, I know we will all stand ready to welcome and help her. Her
start date will be at the end of July.

We also extend our tremendous thanks and support to Brian Dulude, who
is ably serving as the interim executive director.
