The Great Lakes ADA Center in collaboration with the ADA National Network
invites you to attend the May ADA Audio Conference Series session titled
"The Technology Landscape for Applicants and Employees who are Blind or
Experiencing Vision Loss" featuring Katie Frederick, Program Administrator,
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and Peter Berg, Project
Coordinator of Technical Assistance, Great Lakes ADA Center.
Session Description:
Technology is integral to many aspects of life including employment. How do
persons who are blind or experiencing vision loss search and apply for jobs
or perform essential job functions? This session will examine the
technologies used by persons who are blind and low vision, how those
technologies allow the performance of essential job duties, common barriers
encountered in the employment realm and the obligations employers have under
the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to applicants and employees with
disabilities.
Date: May 19th, 2020
Time: 2-3:30pm Eastern Time (calculate the time zone where you will join
from)
Cost: Free
This session is offered via a web based webinar platform and telephone.
The session will be captioned via the web based webinar platform.
