Hi Debbie,
I should report that unfortunately, the Illinois legislature has probably
passed a bill, though not this one. We learned that in the 11th hour, there
was another vote-by-mail bill being offered and likely passed for the 2020
election only. I plan to locate the actual bill to see if our accessibility
and right to have a way to vote-by-mail privately and independently was
address.

I just left a message asking State Senator Sara Feigenholz to contact Denise
about the vote by mail bill, since we need to ensure that blind voters will
have an accessible option for an independent ballot. The number listed on
her website for her Springfield office, 217-557-0523, apparently has been
changed, as it went to voice mail for someone named Patty. I reached
Feigenholz's district office at 773-296-4141.
