Given your timetable I would ask them to reach out to Deque or to the
Lighthouse who is working on this stuff too.

Subject: [IL-Talk] Training

Hi all,

I have a question about getting accessible training from a school which is
approved by the State of Illinois agency which administers programs under
the Workforce Investment Opportunity Act. This act funds free training for
people who have become unemployed. The only requirement is that in order to
get a free education, the person who is unemployed needs to attend an
approved school. I have been working with an approved training school to
come up with an alternative plan where I won't have to use their existing
platform Github and live video demonstrations to take the classes. The
process has been dragging out for a long time and I will soon reach my
deadline to get funds. I think the school is willing to work with me. I did
provide them with some accessibility resources. Are there individuals within
the Federation who have expertise with regard to making online training
accessible? It might be helpful to have a conversation with someone at the
WIOA-approved school.

Thanks,

Dan
