Hello Everyone,
The National Federation of the Blind of Illinois Chicago Chapter will
again feature their Christmas auction on Saturday, December 11
following the meeting. This auction will be somewhat unique in that it
will be on zoom as well as in person. With that in mind, there a few
things one should know when participating.
1. Anyone attending may bid on any item.
2. If someone casts the winning bid on a gift card who is participating
virtually, the item will be sent to them.
3. If someone participating virtually casts the winning bid on an item
that is something other thamn a gift card, it wil be upto that person
and the donor of that item to work out how the winner will receive said item.
4. Finally, when paying for a gift, one may pay by cash, check or zell.
If paying via zell, please send an e-mail to treasurer at nfbofillinois.org.
Finally, we need items. Gift cards, baked goods, adult beverages,
jewelry, memerabelia and other items will work well. In other words,
the sky is the limit.
Remember that December 11 is the date, Exchequer Pub or Zoom are the
places to be. Have your checkbooks and wallets ready, and let the
bidding begin.
