Accessibility Program Manager

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The Accessibility Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to broaden DAX service offerings, enhance delivery of current services, and grow awareness of DAXs unique position in the industry to ensure a sustainable pipeline of new business. Manager will assist Director and leadership in developing long-term strategic goals for DAX and be accountable for the short-term execution of initiatives leading to long-term objectives. The Program Manager will manage the high-level relationships with clients from initial program introduction and establishment of Scopes of Work to delivery of final deliverables. This role is also responsible for managing and developing the Lead DAX Analyst (Project Manager) and his staff to ensure high-quality deliverables are produced by delivery team. The Accessibility Program Manager will also be an exemplary role model in using innovative and adaptive strategies to assist our DAX (Digital Accessible Experience) Consulting Services clients in making their applications and websites accessible, useable and productive for people with disabilities.
 
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: This position will directly supervise a team of employees.
 
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Less than 5%; metro Chicago and suburbs.
 
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
	Build trusted client relationships through proactive account management and effective project delivery
	Work with Director to develop proposals, Service Agreements and Scopes of Work with clients including negotiating contracts and setting project budgets.
	Utilize client relationships to establish long-term partnerships centered around accessibility and usability maintenance.
	Enhance current service delivery processes to streamline communication between both internal and external teams and maximize productivity of testing staff.
	Design and develop new training workshops for client teams ranging from IT personnel to executive leaders.
	Develops multimedia presentations for proposal presentations, training workshops and project kickoff meetings.
	Works with Lead DAX Analyst in developing onboarding program and materials for new employees and training materials for employee development.
	Responsible for partnering with HR to develop a recruitment pipeline and establish partnerships with educational organizations that produce high-quality candidates.
	Identifies work issues among new and seasoned personnel and assists Lead DAX Analyst in retraining as needed for improved performance.
	Maintains a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
	Assists with escalated testing or compliance issues found by testing staff.
	Develops strategic plans with management to market rebranded DAX.
	Works as part of a team to complete large testing and/or auditing projects.
	Reviews final client deliverables and assist in deliverable presentation.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline;
· 4+ years of relevant work experience in field of digital accessibility required;
· International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) certification required;
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines and requirements accordingly;
· Demonstrated objectivity, professionalism, flexibility and maturity;
· Hands on’ approach and a willingness to learn;
· Skills and ability required:
Strong oral and written communication, including documentation; Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation that focuses on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills; Knowledge of applicable accessibility practices and laws.
