I am reaching out on behalf of the Chicago Department of Planning and
Development (DPD). The We Will Chicago team wants to ensure that the
perspectives of people with disabilities are included in our citywide plan.

Get Involved in We Will Chicago-the First Citywide Plan in 55 Years. 

 

We Will Chicago is the City of Chicago's three-year, citywide planning
initiative to encourage neighborhood growth and vibrancy while addressing
social and economic inequities that impair Chicago's legacy as a global
city.  

The We Will planning team is seeking individuals and organizations to
develop the major themes, issues, and policy guidelines within the citywide
plan. We are seeking citywide applicants for:  

*	Research Team members will meet monthly to help research and develop
reports and policies for one of We Will's seven planning pillars: Arts &
Culture; Economic Development; Environment, Climate & Energy; Housing &
Neighborhoods; Lifelong Learning; Public Health & Safety; and Transportation

*	Advisory Committee members will meet bi-monthly to advise on
research and policies across the seven pillars, ensuring overall alignment
with the plan's principles and themes.  

Individuals are invited to apply as volunteers for a specific Research Team
or the broader Advisory Committee.

We Will Chicago is also recruiting up to 14 community-oriented groups for
this process. Community Partners can be organizations, teams, individuals,
businesses, unincorporated nonprofits, and other entities. Community
Partners will be paid $15,000 for their participation. Learn more about

There are no minimum qualifications to apply. Volunteers and community
partners should represent a broad range of personal, volunteer and/or
professional experiences to shape the plan.
