I agree with you Bill. I object to the statement the author makes 'struggles with visual impairment' as it is insulting. It isn't a visual impairment which is the problem. Blind people know what they need and blindness is just one characteristic which defines each blind person.

The NFB I legislative committee reviewed the law mentioned in this article. We believe it is largely designed to promote the products of a specific company, and offers less general protection than does section 508 of the rehab act and the Americans with disabilities act. With that said, we support the governor‘s stated commitment to inclusion of students with disabilities in the learning process. Let’s hope that commitment is applied beyond the narrow provisions of the law referenced in this article
