Patti,

I got three takers overnight. One lady who had her MacBooks stolen, one him, and one student both presented good arguments for leading the Mac assuming they were all truthful. The post from BlindAdds is what got all the responses.

I’m torn between the blinds person that got their MacBook stolen versus the student. Although I love to help both, I’m kind of leaning towards the student is he offered a much more detailed explanation of his needs?

Subject: [IL-Talk] 2012 Mac book pro

Good good evening everyone,

My best friend Michael Cicchetti passed away on Thanksgiving from fibrosis of the lungs. He has a MacBook Pro from 2012 that is running high sierra. It also has an SSD in it that I put in to replace the hard disk and some additional memory

I’m going to make this available as a gift to anyone that needs it. Before I ship it, I’ll place a fresh copy of High Sierra on it so it’s pretty much gonna be brand new as far as software goes and all you have to do is configure it with you know your network settings or your user credentials that you care to use .

I would ask that whoever receives it covers the cost of freight to send it to them which is a pretty incidental cost compared to having to buy a new MacBook.

The MacBook comes with its wall charger. Michael also had a lot of portable, hard drives, but it’s gonna take me some time to go through all the rest of the equipment that i am  trying to figure out what to do with

I wish I had money to give to everyone but unfortunately it’s going to be first come first serve.

I’ll ask one question so that if I get multiple request for it, I could try to make a good assessment as to who would benefit from it the most.

I don’t need proof, but I would like to know a little bit about your situation and how you would make use of the device. Learn how
